About the Job
The Lead, Hardware Asset Management is responsible for developing, communicating, and enforcing Group Technology Asset Management policies and procedures for effective hardware asset management. This role involves strategically managing technology-related hardware by establishing repeatable processes to maximize value and identify risks and mitigation actions. It also includes providing leadership and strategic input to support the business unit and overall IT strategy, as well as planning, organizing, delivering, and maintaining business solutions within the portfolio. The Lead will ensure end-to-end delivery and availability of HAM Services in partnership with Group IT, managing total cost and information security risk, and engaging with business and senior leadership to facilitate decisions and positive outcomes for the Bank.
Responsibilities
Develop, communicate, and enforce Group Technology Asset Management policies and procedures for effective hardware asset management.
Strategically manage technology-related hardware by establishing repeatable processes to ensure success and maximise value.
Identify risks and mitigation actions.
Provide leadership and strategic input to support the BU strategy and overall IT strategy.
Plan, organise, deliver, and maintain business solutions within the portfolio.
Ensure end-to-end delivery and availability of HAM Services in partnership with Group IT.
Manage total cost and information security risk.
Engage with business and senior leadership to facilitate decisions and positive outcomes for the Bank.
Requirements
First Degree in Business Commerce, Mathematical Sciences.
8 – 10 Years’ thorough understanding of the full Hardware Asset Management value chain and asset lifecycle.
Minimum 8 years’ IT Asset Management or Configuration Management experience in managing a dedicated team in the discipline of CI and attribute management for a large, distributed IT environment.
8 – 10 Years’ experience managing an operational department where the core focus is to manage and maintain a valid baseline of the customers IT asset landscape, and ensure accurate management of said assets.
Exposure to information security risks and management with good understanding of financial models and a proven track record of project/programme management and delivery of large programmes with budget in excess of R50 million within the global environment.
Experience working in a multi-vendor outsourced IT environment.
Knowledge of Agile and Lean frameworks, methods and practices.
