About the Job

TWK Agri has a vacancy for an Accountant within the Finance division at Piet Retief, Mpumalanga.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly and quarterly reports.
Ensure accurate recording and classification of financial transactions.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Compile and analyse financial data for reporting.
Review financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Conduct regular general ledger audits and resolve discrepancies.
Ensure accuracy of accounting data through proper transaction recording.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
Reconcile AP/AR balances and resolve issues.
Monitor cash flow and maintain liquidity.
Support budget and forecast preparation.
Monitor budgets and provide variance analysis.
Collaborate with departments on budget requirements.
Develop and implement internal controls.
Assist with audit preparation and documentation.
Identify financial risks and suggest mitigation strategies.
Conduct financial analysis and reporting.
Provide financial insights for strategic decisions.
Collaborate with teams to support financial planning.
Communicate financial updates to management and stakeholders.
Promote continuous improvement in finance operations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
3–5 years’ experience in financial accounting.
CA(SA) or similar professional qualification (advantageous).
Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
Extensive knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.
Understanding of the industry and its financial dynamics.
Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Valid driver’s licence (Code 08).
Bilingual (English and Afrikaans) (advantageous).
Willing to travel.
